Job Description:

Summary: Experienced Nurse required to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting, utilizing critical thinking skills and evidence-based practice to deliver safe and effective care.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong nursing background, with a focus on patient-centered care, and will be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve excellent patient outcomes. The successful candidate will be a skilled communicator, able to effectively collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.

Responsibilities:


  • Provide routine and complex care to patients, utilizing the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care, incorporating evidence-based practice and patient-centered care principles.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care, including medication administration, treatment, and education.
  • Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given, utilizing accurate and timely documentation practices.
  • Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers, identifying issues and resources.

      • Uses critical thinking skills to assess patient needs, communicating findings to healthcare team members.
      • Develops and implements individualized plans of care, incorporating evidence-based practice and patient-centered care principles.
      • Implements patient care and therapeutic procedures, monitoring and documenting progression of treatment and teaching goals.

      • Standard II. Patient Throughput & Patient Flow Process

        • Anticipates and plans for admission/discharge/transfer needs, facilitating patient flow.
        • Utilizes appropriate systems of communication and tools to facilitate the discharge process.

        • Standard III. Unit Operations

          • Plans, directs, and evaluates the overall nursing care and functions in a particular nursing unit during an assigned shift.
          • Demonstrates good stewardship in proper use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.

          • Standard IV. Safe Practice/Quality Care/Regulations

            • Incorporates patient safety practices/guidelines to promote a safe environment, resulting in positive patient outcomes.
            • Demonstrates accountability for nursing research and quality improvement activities.

              • Clinical Policies and Standards

                • Follows a specific set of standards and associated clinical procedures.
                • Analyzes policy and standards documentation and ensures organizational compliance.

                • Health Information Documentation

                  • Shares experiences with maintaining paper and electronic patient documentation.
                  • Walks through the steps and procedures for receiving, validating, and updating patient records.

                  • Medical Equipment

                    • Describes experience with basic medical equipment used in the unit or facility.
                    • Uses standard diagnostic tools and techniques to resolve common equipment problems.

                    • Medical Order Processing

                      • Shares experiences with processing medical orders for one or more groups of patients or conditions.
                      • Describes functions and features of the system used to enter, validate, update, and forward medical orders.

                      • Patient Chart Reading and Interpretation

                        • Describes experiences in reading and interpreting patient charts for patients on the unit and under own care.
                        • Reviews patients' charts for completion and accuracy, identifying and alerting to mistakes or omissions.

                        • Patient Safety

                          • Shares experiences with ensuring safety for one or more patient groups or settings.
                          • Explains key features of safety guidelines and procedures for those groups and settings.



                            Job Requirements:

                            • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
                            • 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty, preferred.
                            • BLS required.
                            • RN License in state of employment or compact.


                              Work Schedule: 7PM - 7AM
                              Work Type: Full Time
