Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at Christus Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Operating Room department.Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patient skin for surgery in accordance with hospital standards
• Maintain aseptic techniques and actively monitor situations that could lead to breaches in aseptic technique
• Provide comfort and support for pre-operative patients by demonstrating sensitivity to patient care and privacy
• Transport patients to and from the Operating Room suite
• Position patients according to the type of surgery
• Identify and care for biological specimens
• Prepare the Operating Room by setting up tables, instruments, and supplies according to type of caseRequirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of Surgical Technology program required
  • 2 or more years of experience preferred
  • BLS required
  • Certification of Surgical Technologist from The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting within 180 days of graduation or LVN/LPN License requiredWork ScheduleTBDWork TypeFull Time
