Job SummaryAs a Licensed Vocational Nurse at Christus Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and supportive team environment. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate LVN to join our team and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients, working collaboratively with providers to ensure quality care.
• Assist with the preparation of equipment and aid providers during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.
• Observe, record, and report patients' condition and reaction to drugs or treatments to providers.
• Oversee appointment bookings and ensure timely flow of patients.
• Perform various tasks, including vital sign collection, initial assessments, and coordination of patient transfers.
• Administer medications, including IV push medications, and perform other tasks as prescribed by licensure and certification.
• Respond to incoming telephone calls, call in refills and prescriptions, and instruct patients on medication and treatment.
• Formulate and update patient care plans, order and prepare patient charts, and post test results.
• Maintain patient files, records, and other information in a professional manner.
• Ensure preparation of exam rooms and restock treatment areas.
• Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested.Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing or vocational nursing.
  • Valid state license to practice nursing and current BLS certification.
