**Respiratory Therapist Job Description**

Responsible for providing pulmonary care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients in a hospital setting, performing technical and diagnostic procedures, and assessing patient needs.




Key Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Meet expectations of OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  
• Perform emergency response, airway management, delivery of aerosolized drugs, ventilator management, and other respiratory care procedures.
  
• Manage oxygen delivery devices, therapeutic monitoring, and chest film analysis.
  
• Collect and analyze blood gas samples, EKGs, and other diagnostic data.
  
• Accurately document patient information and maintain equipment and supplies.
  
• Participate in CAP and JC surveys.
  
  
  Advanced Practice Skills:
  
  • 
    
  • Therapeutic gas management and monitoring, including INO and HeO2.
    
  • Pulmonary Function Testing.
    
  • Bronchoscopy assist.
    
  • Hemodynamic Monitoring.
    
  • Waveform analysis.
    
  • Nocturnal SpO2 evaluation (Desaturation Studies).
    
    
    Requirements:
    
    • 
      
    • RCP License in the state of employment.
      
    • BLS certification.
      
    • CRT certification through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
      
    • Current ACLS certification.
      
      
      Work Schedule:
      12-hour shifts, 6AM - 6PM.
      
      Work Type:
      Full-time.
