Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our clinic staff, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our healthcare providers to ensure the best possible outcomes.Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients, including administering treatments and medications as prescribed.
• Assist with the preparation of equipment and aid providers during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.
• Observe, record, and report patients' condition and reaction to drugs or treatments to providers.
• Oversee appointment bookings and ensure timely flow of patients.
• Greets patients, obtains well-documented history and vitals, and prepares patients for physical exam.
• May perform various tasks, including vital sign collection, initial patient assessment, and coordination of patient transfer to hospital or discharge.
• May administer medications, including IV push medications, and perform tasks such as specimen collection and wound care.
• Formulates and updates patient care plans, orders and prepares patient charts, and posts test results.
• Maintains patient files, records, and other information in a professional manner.
• Ensures preparation of exam rooms, including restocking of treatment areas.
• Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
• Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional licensure and affiliations.Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing or vocational nursing.
  • Valid state license to practice nursing.
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
