be considered. Provide expert stepdown nursing care in a fast-paced
healthcare environment located in Kilgore, TX. This contract
position offers the opportunity to practice specialized skills in
patient care with a focus on critical observation and intervention.
The shift is nights from 7 PM to 7 AM with rotating weekends,
supporting a team that prioritizes patient safety and high-quality
care. Responsibilities include managing a patient ratio of 1:5,
delivering comprehensive care using EMR-Medhost systems, and
maintaining clear communication with healthcare teams. Nurses will
provide care for a 25-bed stepdown unit, ensuring prompt response
to changes in patient conditions and collaborating on care plans.
Key Qualifications: - Registered Nurse licensed to practice
stepdown nursing - Minimum of 2 years experience in Progressive
Care Units (PCU) - Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA or ARC
accepted) - Ability to work night shifts and rotating weekends
without call - Comfortable with a patient ratio of 1:5 - Proficient
in electronic medical records (preferably Medhost) - Flexibility to
