Provide critical care to patients in a step-down unit setting during night shifts, with a focus on delivering high-quality nursing care to a 1:5 patient ratio. This contract position is based in Gilmer, TX, offering an opportunity to enhance your clinical skills in a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and assess patients transitioning from ICU to general care. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. - Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies. - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using EMR systems. Qualifications and Experience: - Valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years experience in progressive care units (PCU). - Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted). - Comfortable working night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. - Experience with EMR systems preferred. - Ability to work rotational weekends and float as needed. - Willingness to relocate or travel if living more than 50 miles from Gilmer, TX.
