Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: First Assist - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) – Texas Start Date: March 2, 2026 Location: Longview, Texas Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM Highlights: - Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) and Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH) experience required - Full-time position with consistent weekday schedule - Opportunity to utilize skills in circulating, scrubbing, and first assist roles - Collaborative perioperative team environment - Comprehensive credentialing process ensures quality standards Requirements: - Current RN License in Texas or compact state - CNOR Perioperative Nursing Certificate required - Successful completion of an RNFA program meeting AORN standards and accepted by the Competency and Credentialing Institute (CCI) - Minimum 5 years of OR experience including both scrubbing and circulating - Previous cardiovascular OR experience required - BLS Certification required (AHA only) - ACLS Certification required (AHA only) - Must be comfortable functioning in circulating, scrubbing, and first assist capacities Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers an experienced RNFA the chance to work in a specialized cardiovascular surgical setting while maintaining an excellent work-life balance with a Monday through Friday schedule.
