Radiation Therapist Location: USA - Palestine, TX Agency: Ambition 24Hours Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 7 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title Radiation Therapist Job Summary The Radiation Therapist administers radiation therapy treatments to patients under direct supervision, ensuring accurate delivery of prescribed doses and proper patient positioning. This role involves patient care, treatment documentation, equipment operation, and participation in clinical instruction. New graduates are welcome to apply. Key Responsibilities Deliver and record radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist Enter and maintain patient treatment parameters in electronic medical records Participate in clinical instruction for newly hired therapists and students Maintain patient appointment schedules and submit accurate billing information Cut treatment blocks and fabricate custom molds as required Complete simple MU calculations and interpret computerized treatment plans Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Support compliance with professional and ethical standards Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program ARRT certification required Valid state license for radiation therapy 1 year experience preferred; new graduates considered US Citizen or Green Card holder Physical Demands Regularly sit and use hands to handle equipment Occasionally stand, walk, reach, and lift/move up to 30 pounds Vision and hearing corrected to normal ranges Work Environment Clinical healthcare setting with exposure to radiation therapy procedures Adherence to safety and infection control protocols required Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities
