registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience
required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not
be considered. A dynamic opportunity is available for an
experienced Registered Nurse in a mixed acuity step-down setting.
This contract position offers the chance to provide specialized
care across ICU and progressive care unit levels, focusing
primarily on cardiovascular and thoracic surgery patients.
Responsibilities include managing complex patient cases such as
CABG, TAVR, SAVR, MVR, and VATS procedures, along with flexible
care duties in med/surg, progressive, and ICU environments. Key
clinical skills required involve interpretation and management of
dysrhythmias, arterial and central line care, administration of
blood products, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips.
Additional preferred experience includes intra-aortic balloon pump
care, ventricular assist devices, and ventilator management.
Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of 18 months RN experience;
new graduates with relevant clinical skillsets are welcome Current
IN state RN license and certifications in ACLS and BCLS; NIH Stroke
Certification preferred Comfort with 1:2 ICU and 1:3-4 progressive
care nurse-to-patient ratios Ability to work every other weekend
and two-thirds of major holidays Previous charge nurse experience
preferred Willingness to float within the scope of practice as
needed Schedule: Day shifts, 4 twelve-hour shifts (07:00 19:30)
Full-time hours guaranteed with options around 36 to 48 hours per
