Description Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experiencedCardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant (PA-C)to join our dynamic surgical team inTexarkana, TX. This advanced practice provider will work closely with cardiothoracic surgeons and the surgical team to provide perioperative care with a focus onfirst assisting in the ORandendoscopic or open vein harvesting. Key Responsibilities - Serve asfirst assist in cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including CABG and valve surgeries - Performvein harvestingusing endoscopic or open techniques - Manage pre- and post-operative care in collaboration with the cardiothoracic surgery team - Conduct patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic studies, and develop treatment plans - Round on post-op patients in the ICU and on the floor - Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures, recovery expectations, and discharge plans - Document care and procedures accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) - Participate in call coverage as scheduled ?
