USD $130,000 to $140,000 Job Summary The Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)
is responsible for the overall operation of a new outpatient retail
pharmacy, including safe preparation and dispensing of medications,
team leadership, and day-to-day operational management. This role
carries primary accountability for patient safety, regulatory
compliance, workflow efficiency, and a high standard of customer
service. Work Schedule Monday Friday, typically between 8:00 AM
5:00 PM. Pharmacy opening date targeted for April 2026; offer to be
extended by mid-March 2026. Key Responsibilities Review and execute
provider prescriptions, checking for clinical appropriateness,
accuracy, and legality. Organize the pharmacy to optimize workflow,
product identification, and safety. Maintain full control of
medication inventory: ordering, stocking, labeling, and monitoring
for expiration or deterioration. Provide patient counseling, listen
carefully to patient needs and concerns, and offer clear
information and advice. Prepare or compound medications when
appropriate, using correct dosages and materials for each patient.
Maintain accurate patient profiles and a complete history of
medications dispensed. Stay current with HIPAA and Fraud, Waste and
Abuse training and credentialing requirements. Ensure compliance
with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations,
and internal policies. Ensure pharmacy staff are aware of and
adhere to facility policies and procedures. Direct the daily work
of pharmacy technicians, including providing input on performance
evaluations and notifying senior management of performance or
behavioral issues. Manage pharmacy technician schedules and
communicate leave or accommodation requests to senior management.
Utilize the pharmacy s patient management system for dispensing,
documentation, reporting, and workflow. Perform other related
duties as necessary to support safe and efficient pharmacy
operations. Requirements Education & Licensure High school diploma
or equivalent (minimum). Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent.
Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of Texas
(candidates must already hold this license; those still in process
will not be considered). Experience & Skills Minimum 3 5 years of
retail pharmacy management experience (pharmacy manager or PIC).
Previous leadership experience supervising pharmacy technicians and
managing daily operations. Ability to effectively use a pharmacy
patient management system . Excellent oral and written
communication skills. Strong leadership, organizational, and
problem-solving abilities. Physical Requirements Ability to stand
for prolonged periods. Frequent use of hands to handle, control, or
feel objects, tools, or controls. Fine motor skills for

Ideal Candidate & Screening Ideal Profile At least 3 years of
pharmacy manager experience in a retail/community setting.
Demonstrated success leading a pharmacy team and managing
