Description Nursing Leader responsible for daily operations, planning and coordination of patient care within the assigned Emergency departments. Interfaces with all hospital departments, medical staff and community as a representative of nursing and management. Assures services are provided in compliance with hospital nursing and departmental standards, protocols, policies and procedures. Provides direction to ensure an attitude of excellence to achieve high quality care and programs in a cost effective manner. Requirements Certification/Licensure Current R.N. license in the State of Texas required. Education Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. MSN or BSN with other related Masters degree required. Experience A minimum of five (5) years of nursing leadership in an acute care setting is preferred. Must possess experience in staffing, scheduling, staff development, personnel management and financial management. Specialized Training Other Skills/Competencies Ability to perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of self or others. Ability to comply with all Good Shepherd policies and procedures that are job-related and consistent with business necessity.
