Cabinetworks Group has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Manager at our facility in Marshall, TX. We will consider candidates that are interested in relocation to the Marshall, TX area. Must have manufacturing Human Resources experience.

Job Summary:

The Human Resource Manager will lead and direct the daily activities of the Human Resources (HR) department including recruiting, onboarding, payroll, leave administration, benefits open enrollment and administration, employee relations, engagement, retention, performance management, and overall ensuring that the facility maintains a positive and safe working environment. Partners with plant leadership team to lead initiatives towards cultural change and help maintain a culture that is in alignment with the company's values, integrity, and code of ethics. Ensures compliance with Federal, State, or local laws and company policies and procedures.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains HR team members
Oversees the daily workflow of the HR department
Establishes and monitors HR metrics aligned with business needs
Provides constructive and timely performance coaching
Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
Ensures the HR team is available as a resource to all employees and maintains regular visibility on the plant floor

Partners with plant leadership teams to understand current and future business needs and develops an HR plan to close gaps and address concerns.
Builds a strong partnership with the Plant Manager to ensure HR support to plant leadership is superior, that it drives an employee centric culture, and contributes to the attainment of plant key performance indicators.
Collaborates with the company's HR, Payroll, HRIS, and Benefits support functions to support rollout or implementation of organization wide initiatives or projects at the plant level, including working across all teams to help answer employee questions or resolve issues.
Plans and executes comprehensive recruiting action plans to maintain a strong funnel of qualified production hourly applicants to fill open plant positions and meet daily or weekly applicant and hiring targets.
Ensure effective and efficient hiring and onboarding processes are in place to support high volume daily hiring activities.
Verifies that weekly work hours are recorded accurately and properly approved for timely submittal for payroll processing per company payroll deadlines, including training supervisors on proper approval of working hours for their direct reports.
Directly handles, investigates, or provides guidance to HR team and plant leadership on HR issues that are complex, regulatory, specialized, and/or sensitive such as engaging in reasonable accommodation discussions, investigating allegations of discrimination, retaliation, harassment or wrongdoing, performance management and terminations.
Works with plant leadership team to ensure all disciplinary, termination, and employee complaint resolutions are handled respectfully, timely, and in compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.
Ensures proper administration of leave programs (Worker Compensation, FMLA, Personal LOA, short-term disability, and long-term disability) in compliance with company, third party administrators, and applicable laws and policies.
Analyzes local market trends in hiring, wages, and benefits to recommend and propose local counter measures to attract and retain a stable and qualified workforce. Includes submitting this data annually as part of the company's annual wage review.
Partners with Continuous Improvement leaders to identify improvement areas within HR and facilitate Kaizen events to eliminate redundancies, bottlenecks, or inefficiencies in HR plant level processes.
Collaborates with plant manager to initiate and maintain relationships within the local community to increase the plant's impact and involvement within the communities in which we operate.
Maintains personnel, payroll, safety, legal, or regulatory records as required by law.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
5-7 years of human resources management experience, including minimum of 3 years' experience in a plant manufacturing environment
Knowledge of applicable employment laws including Title VII, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, ADEA, Worker Compensation, and Equal Employment Opportunity, etc.
Exposure to continuous improvement concepts or lean manufacturing

Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities
Required to stand and walk; walk long distances between offices, across and within the plant manufacturing areas.
