West Fraser, a leader in the integrated wood products industry, is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Millwright to join our dynamic team. As an integral part of our manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing complex machinery and mechanical equipment in our facilities. This position combines technical skills with a hands-on approach in a high-paced environment to ensure optimum operational performance aligned with our commitment to quality and sustainable practices. Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical problems in industrial machinery Conduct regular preventative maintenance on machines and equipment Install, align, and balance new equipment as required Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed repair drawings related to construction equipment and machinery Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas Collaborate with other team members to facilitate coordinated efforts on project tasks Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during operation Prepare and record maintenance reports and logs Proficiency in wielding industrial machinery Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to interpret blueprints and technical diagrams Excellent problem-solving skills Strong communication and collaboration abilities Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in the manufacturing sector Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Industrial Millwright (e.g., Red Seal Endorsement in Canada) Relevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA safety training)
