DIRECT HIRE OR INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORJob scope: The Physical Therapist serves as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team responsible for the identification, assessment, planning, and delivery of services to address the promotion of Sensorimotor function through enhancement of musculoskeletal development, cardiopulmonary status, and effective environmental adaptation. Services to prevent, alleviate or compensate for movement dysfunction and related functional problems is provided through individual or group service settings. Reports to the ECI site Supervisor. Under the general supervision of the ECI Program Director.Education/licensure: A degree from an accredited physical therapy education program. Licensed as a physical therapist by the Texas State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.Experience/Knowledge:A minimum of one-year experience in working with children with developmental delays is preferred.Physical requirements that are bona fide occupational qualifications essential to the performance of the job:Must be able to transport clients, be able to complete activities necessary to perform services. This includes but is not limited to bending, lifting up to 44 pounds, carrying, crawling, and kneeling. Must be able to tolerate excessive heat and cold.
