Company DescriptionWe are a 75-year-old company providing Design/Build, General Construction, Self-Perform and Construction Management services for projects in the Commercial, Industrial, Institutional and Governmental Markets. - Unlike many firms of our size, we are true builders; a fact which our clients appreciate. - We pride ourselves on delivering cost certainty to our client, and we are looking to add a talented Project Superintendent to our staff.Job SummaryThe Estimator will assist Preconstruction/Construction staff with all aspects of estimating, including quantity take-off, pricing and bidding of construction projects. Further duties include the preparation of bid documents and the development of clear written proposals and correspondence. - The Estimator will be responsible for preparation of thorough, accurate and timely estimates, primarily from schematic level documentation. - Projects are for both private and public sector owners in the $100,000 to $10MM range.Job Duties

• Identify factors affecting costs, such as: production time, materials, and labor.
• Read blueprints and technical documents in order to prepare estimates.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, contractors, and project managers.
• Calculate, analyze, and adjust estimates.
• Recommend ways to increase cost efficiency.
• Work with sales teams to prepare estimates and bids for clients.
• Maintain records of estimated and actual costs.
• Math and IT ability with an analytical mindset. - - Job Requirements
  High school degree required. Bachelor's degree or commercial construction experience a plus.Analytical skills - Consider and evaluate different construction and manufacturing methods and options to determine the most cost-effective solution that meets the required specifications.Detail oriented - Pay attention to detail because minor changes can greatly affect the overall cost of a project or product.Math skills - Accurately calculate labor, material, and equipment cost estimates for construction projects. Time-management skills - Work on fixed deadlines. Plan and work efficiently.Use software - Bluebeam Revu for project takeoff and ProContractor Estimating for estimate entry/evaluation.
