Job Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Medical Technician OR Medical Technologist contributes to the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients by the accurate performance and reporting of laboratory testing procedures on microbiology specimens and cultures. Permanent position. Close to Nashville, TN. TN state lab license is needed. QUALIFICATIONS: MEDICAL TECHNICIAN- Associate degree in Medical Technology or related coursework with successful completion of clinical rotation in medical laboratory Certification from AMT or ASCP in Medical Technology, Med Lab Science or a related specialty. Tennessee State License Preferred, not Required. MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related course work with successful completion of clinical rotation in medical laboratory Certification from AMT or ASCP in Medical Technology, Med Lab Science or a related specialty.
